5th National Health Awards 2018 were organized at IIC, Delhi on December 27, 2018 (Thursday). These awards are organized every year and this one is the 5th in the series. The prestigious and coveted award ceremony was spearheaded by Ms. Nicky Dabas, President of Nutrition and Natural Health Sciences Association. The event marked the presence of government personnel and representatives like Sri Jayender Dabas, Honorable Ex-leader of the House (BJP) and Municipal Councilor, MCD and Dr. Dinesh Upadhyay, Governing Body Member, Central Council for Research in Yog & Naturopathy, AYUSH Ministry as chief guests. The distinguished guests of honor included:
Sri Jagdeesh Reddy - The world-famous Natural Farming Educationist
Sri Patanjali Jha - IRS Officer 1986 Batch, Principal Director of Investigation
Dr. R V Singh - Consultant Eye Surgeon and Past President India Medical association
Dr. Col. M Bhagat – Sr. Physician and Gastroenterologist, Army Commander and Modelist
Dr. K N Singla - A renowned Gastroenterologist (Max Hospital), and Member of IMA and other reputed Associations
Dr. R K Gupta - A renowned Orthopaedic Surgeon and Former President (Delhi Medical Association)
Dr. Ram Avtar - Project Officer Yog, Govt. of Delhi and President, Yog and Sanskar Federation
Sri Jayender Dabas extended MCD’s support for such efforts being put up by Nutrition and Natural Health Sciences Association to bring about and recognize holistic natural developmental efforts which directly impacts the health of people and environment around us.
One of the awardees and guests of honor Mr. Patanjali Jha, Commissioner (IRS) and Principal Director of Investigation enlightened the august audience present at the event with very valuable information on no-tilling farming and how a strategic multi-level productive plants’ ecosystem can be created in urban areas if this project is taken up seriously even by 10, 000 urban people. He said that it can solve the problem of pollution, maximize natural produce and eventually bring good health and environment to us.
There were many inspiring stories which were heard on the stage of this award as the torchbearers of Indian nutrition industry were awarded for their distinct contribution to the health and development sector of the nation. The highlight, however, remained the farmers who were awarded for their untiring and revolutionary efforts and contribution to Indian agriculture who bring out natural produce for the benefit of the country. This was the unique stage which recognized the efforts of Indian farmers which is rarely done.
The nation looks forward to more thoughtful events which involve sincere efforts put in this direction by all the members of the Nutrition and Natural Health Sciences Association. Justifying the name of the Association, this award ceremony recognized all the nutritionists, dietician, farmers, doctors, researchers, and other professionals who have contributed to development of society in terms of health, nutrition, natural farming and holistic development through support to women and children.
