3. Bow pose or Dhanurasana

  • Step 1: Lay on your stomach, stretch your legs out and hold them with your hands.
  • Step 2: Start inhaling, while you lift your head up and maintain this position for quite a few seconds.

4. Tiger poses or Vyaghrasana

This one is a true blessing for weight loss and tightening of the thigh and abdomen muscles. It strengthens the core body and stimulates nervous, lymphatic, and reproductive systems.

  • Step 1: Get down on your knees and hands, now slowly raise one knee towards your chest first.
  • Step 2: Now slowly while exhaling oops back your lifted knee backward to stretch your leg and while doing so raise your head up.

Repeat the same with the other leg.

5. Boat Pose or Paripurna Navasana

This asana engages the muscles in your core while also strengthening the hip flexors and abductor muscles. According to a study, this asana can help you lose fat in just a span of 12 weeks by increasing your metabolism.

  • Step 1: Sit down, with your legs joined and knees placed firmly on the mat.
  • Step 2: Now slowly lift your legs off the ground and lift your arms parallel to the floor. Try to rest your body weight on your tailbone (butt).
  • Step 3: Lean your upper body backward and keep your spine erect.
  • Step 4: Hold your upper body upright in order to make a ‘V’ shape.
  • Step 5: Hold this position for 15-20 seconds and then relax.
