Richard James, the renowned 53-year-old bodybuilding athlete and entrepreneur has recently been sworn in as the President of IBFF, India. Akshay Chopra, ex-Air Force Pilot, fitness author and entrepreneur is now the General Secretary of IBFF. Mohit Nagpal, an experienced athlete with several titles to his credit is the Vice President of the federation. Three of them talked about IBFF, its chain of operation and its vision. They also stated how they wish to make the federation athlete-centric rather than just competition-centric.
The fact they all have a background of ardent bodybuilding, they have seen the industry very closely and have zeroed in the areas which can be worked upon to make brighter future of the industry, working together towards a common goal of global progress. The liberal and progressive mindsets of three visionaries have given a positive picture of the fitness industry and it has certainly rung a bell to a new era for fitness industry.
