India’s first IFBB Pro Junaid Kaliwala recently terminated franchise with M/s Arjun Supplements, Andheri East, Mumbaifor unfair trade practices. M/s Arjun Supplements was a franchisee of SOS-Source Of Supplements, within a month of operations.They were, reportedly found selling unauthorised products of other brands under the roof of SOS.
Not only this, they were found misusing sales leads which they received over the Instagram. There were no official bills raised for the sold products either. SOS is known to have discreet operations through their franchise model and hence, when M/s Arjun Supplements franchise were held for malpractices in modus operandi, immediate action was needed. “To maintain integrity, respect and most importantly values of our Brand to provide authentic products without any unfair trade practices, the franchise with M/s. Arjun Supplements was terminated immediately,”stated Junaid Kaliwala, Founder (SOS- Source Of Supplements).
This is not about the SOS only, but about integrity of a brand and its vision with which it is established – to provide authentic and billed supplements to the consumers through all its stores. It is also about a moral obligation as a business owner, making it sure that their brand doesn’t unknowingly take advantage of consumer’s lack of knowledge while placing orders. SOS clearly has shown solidarity with its pledge of fair business with the consumers by shutting down the franchisee which can’t hold up to the integrity and competency of the SOS brand.
