Summer is India’s national season, well, unofficially, otherwise also world over the global warming has taken over most of the seasons as summer for the major part of the year. That was on a witty note, but seriously speaking, keeping up with your health in long summer days is a challenge for most of us.
Scorching heat has adverse effects on health like Heat Stroke, Sunburn and Dehydration. The high temperature climate drains off your energy and you may get prone to infections, vomiting nausea and low blood pressure. Therefore, there is a need for each one of us to take some precautions during summer season.
Here are some of the ways to ensure that you stay fir during summer:
1. Minimum Coffee and Tea Intake
Coffee and tea contains caffeine which generates a lot of heat in the body. Drinking tea and coffee can disturb your metabolic system keeping you troubled thought the day. So, try to avoid it as much as possible. Instead you can go with iced lemon tea which will keep active and cool.
2. Say No to Fried Food
Excessive eating of fast food during summer leads to loss of energy and enthusiasm as it might slow the digestion process. Moreover, it also affects our skin, making it look unhealthy. High cholesterol foods will lead to heart diseases. Instead of fried food, have coconut water. Water-rich fruits and veggies etc.

3. Take Healthy Diet
Having a healthy diet is very important during summer. You should eat regularly and also eat regularly and also eat light food. Eating nutrient rich vegetables and fruits will prove beneficial for you during summers. 7. Stay Hydrated
You should drink sufficient water daily for your day-to-day activities. It is very important to stay hydrated during summers because the intense heat and sweat will make your body dehydrated. It is advised to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water daily. Keeping your body hydrated particularly helps to keep your heart healthy which makes it to pump blood easily to the blood vessels and to the muscles.
Spend more time this summer with friends and family and be relaxed. Take corrective measures to overcome the harsh summer heat and avoid diseases. If you have to go out, cover yourself. Prepare a schedule to exercise and workout daily so as to stay active and healthy. Hit the gym 4-5 days in a week. Enjoy the summer season with maximum happiness while keeping up with good health.
