From Karate to Jiu Jitsu He does it all: Gaurav Gulliya

His life is fascinating and ensures this is one of the most inspiring story of An MMA player!

I am Gaurav Gulliya a 34-year-old from New Delhi. I am a karate black belt, Brazilian jiujitsu purple belt, professional MMA fighter.

I won two times national grappling championship and state grappling championship in 2015 and 2016.

I am working as a health and wellness expert since 2008 and working as MMA coach since 2014. I started practicing martial arts in the year 2000 when I was in 12th.

I am currently working at Crosstrain fight club as JiuJitsu coach and Mixed Martial Arts coach and a pro fighter in super fight league.

I do strength training in the morning three days a week after meditation and MMA training four times a week followed by 2 days rest.

My workout consists of 5 reps and 5 sets of the following- squats, deadlift, bench press, military press, pull-ups.

MMA is a sport in which you have to constantly keep improving. Nobody can say that they know it all.

This is what I have chosen to do all my life- Boxing, Kick-boxing, Jiu-jitsu and the techniques, skills have given me the opportunity to compete and get paid to fight in the cage. It cannot get better than this.
