Deepanwita Bera- “Your body needs time”

Deepanwita Bera is a 20-year-old fitness enthusiast born and brought up in Kolkata. She believes that fitness can not only transform someone physically but it also reshapes them mentally resulting in a person being more positive and more enthusiastic towards life.

She said that she was inspired by Bani J. towards fitness. She added that when she first saw Bani she thought, if she can do this being a girl, I too can and her journey towards fitness started then. It was the year 2018 when Deepanwita completed her schooling and realized that she was not happy and satisfied with her lifestyle and should change it, and that was the time she took her first step towards fitness.

She is a third-year student in university and a senior national gold medalist in karate. She was always into sports especially Karate. She was a Karate player since her childhood but was never in very good shape. She weighed 28 kgs when she was just 2 years old, because of which she faced a lot of body-shaming and taunts. When she started playing Karate everyone told her that it would hurt her physically, but that didn't stop her. She knew her dreams and was working towards it.

Her journey is an inspiration for many, as it shows that no matter when you start, if you are determined to reach your goal you will. It might take some time and a lot of effort, but it's all worth it.

She has done a lot of different workout regimes during her weight loss journey in order to reduce weight. For now, she follows this regime 4 times in a week-

  • Day 1: Back, Biceps, Triceps
  • Day 2: Shoulders, Chest
  • Day 3: Legs, Gluts
  • Day 4: HIIT workout
  • And Abs everyday

Her diet is very basic, she just focuses on eating less carb and high protein and sufficient fat.

She said it's not as tough as it seems to stay fit, all you need is 2 hours a day for your body. This is how she remains fit and healthy.

She has a very simple message for people- "If you want to transform yourself then don't wait for the right time as it does not exist." She believes in the philosophy that there is no better day than today to start anything new.
