Balanced diet plays a major role in bodybuilding. In fact the weightage of diet in bodybuilding is 70 % while workout weightage is 30 %. So, you can imagine that how important is balanced diet for a healthy and fit body. Balance diet is what which contains wide variety of nutrition.

Balance is a key factor whether it is workout or diet. It is not a one day job you have to be constant for maintaining balanced diet. Food choices not only lead you to a healthy life but can also have long term effects. Whether it is deficiency or extra intake of nutrition both are harmful for the health.

Importance of Proteins

A balanced diet contains different types of foods, processing carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, minerals, etc. in order to complete the nutrition requirements of the body. Important sources of nutrition are red meat, dairy products, eggs, poultry, vegetables, cereals and fruits. There are five major sources of nutrition which are vegetables, fruits, dairy, eggs and meat.

Nobody wants to eat same things daily and it’s boring to take and prepare same meals daily. So, try to prepare different meals which contain required amount of proteins, carbohydrates, fats.

A Balanced diet consists of macro and micro nutrients. Under macronutrients there are three key components: carbohydrates, proteins and fats while micronutrients consist of two nutrients: vitamins and minerals.

The food we eat has a certain amount of macro and micro nutrients. Some foods may contain less or more nutrients so this is important to understand exactly what amount of macro and micro nutrients we should take. Macronutrients are the nutrients that our body needs in large amount while micronutrients are responsible for regulating metabolism.
