Shawn Ray's India Classic 2019

Shawn Ray’s India Classic was held in Delhi. Athletes from various quarters of the world have participated in the event and are one of its kind platforms for all the participating bodybuilding athletes. In association with AIBF India, the show which is named after legendary bodybuilder Shawn Ray has created waves in the bodybuilding industry and now brought up the heat in capital of India, New Delhi. The show was NPC registered championship.

The much awaited competitive show was scheduled to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi on March 15th and 16th, 2019 (Saturday). The AIBF organizing team has President – Dr. Pradeep Baba Madhok, Executive Director – Ms. Nilakshi Choudhury, General Secretary - Dinesh Aswal, Vice President - Mr. Rohit Gupta, Vice President – Virender Malhan, Vice President - Mr. Sakhosh Venglath . The joint effort has put forward a bold stance bringing the world together to compete at the homeland and giving international exposure to the Indian athletes right here.

The competing categories were:

Men’s bodybuilding - Men’s physique - Men’s classic bodybuilding - Men’s masters bodybuilding - Women’s model physique (bikini) - Women’s physique - Best poser - Differently Abled.

Arnold Classic Australia 2019

One of the biggest bodybuilding events of the year, 2019 edition of Arnold Classic event took place at the Columbus Convention Center in Battelle Grand, Ohio. The event is named after the legend Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Kirat Lakhyan and Manish Ruhail represented India in the prestigious event of Bodybuilding. Kirat won the silver medal in under 90 kg and made country proud.

3rd Asian Youth Athletics Championship 2019

Team India won 27 medals in total (8 Gold, 10 Silver, 9 Bronze) to finish on the 2nd rank overall in the Asian Youth Athletics Championship held at Hong Kong.

  • Harshita Sherawat bagged silver medal in the girls hammer throw with the performance of 61.93m in the Asian Youth Athletics Championship 2019.
  • Deepak Yadav won bronze medal in the boys pole vault with a height of 4.70m.
  • Thabitha Philip Maheswaran won Gold medal in 100m Hurdles and second medal in Girls Long Jump.
  • Ajay won bronze medal in the 1500m run.
  • Vishal Mor won bronze medals in the triple jump with a jump of 15.09m.
  • Vipin Kumar won gold medal with a throw of 69.63 m.
  • Vishvendra Singh won 10000m walk Gold Medal.
  • Paramjeet Singh Bisht won 10000m in bronze medal.
  • Abdul Razak C won Gold Medal in the 400m run.
  • Usaid Khan bagged gold medal in decathlon.
  • Avantika Santosh Narale won gold medal in girls 100m with the performance of 11.97s.
  • Jebeer MP clocked 49.53sc and qualified for the Asian Athletics Championship 2019
  • Amandeep Singh Dhaliwal won Silver medal with a throw of 19.08m.
  • Chandan Chanthini won Bronze medal in 1500m.
  • Pooja won Silver medal in 800m.
  • Mahesh Babu and Sumit Kharab won silver and bronze medal in 800m final.
  • Indian Boys medley relay team (Karen H, S S Nalubothu, Shashikant V A, Abdul Razak) won Gold medal with a performance of 1:54.04s.
  • Indian Girls medley relay team won silver medal with a performance of 2:10.87s.

National New Records of Athletics

  • T Gopi clocked 2.13.39 in the Seoul Marathon 2019 EN and qualified for the World Championship 2019.
  • Arun Rani bettered her National Record with a throw of 62.34m in the Women’s Javelin throw aat Federation Cup 2019. Rani’s previous record is 61.86 in 2017.
  • Praveen Chitravel broke the Men’s junior jump record twice and set new National Record of 16.51M.
  • Irfan KT qualifies for Tokyo 2020 and IAAF World Championship 2019. Irfan finished fourth with the timing of 1:20.57 at Asian RW Championships Nomi.
  • Dharun Avyasamy set new national record (48.80sc) in Men’s 400m Hurdles and qualified for the World Championship 2019 and Asian Athletics Championship 2019.
