Athletic Transformation of Dr Manjiri Bhavsar

Dr Manjiri Bhavsar is a Homeopathy MD Doctor by Profession. After her pregnancy and postpartum,  she had put on so much weight and started getting troubled with problem of thyroid. That made her panic. But one day she decided to join the gym and started following a healthy diet. So she would say that she herself and her body inspired her to get fit and healthy.

Dr Manjiri  started exercise 6years ago with a goal to be fit. With a dedicated diet and hard training, she was able to achieve four pack abs within 45 days. Since then, she decided to focus upon competing in fitness and bodybuilding competitions under the guidance of her  coach.

There were so many challenges before she decided to step on stage because she comes from a very small town, that is Malegaon, which is in district Nashik. Tere she wasn't allowed to wear jeans and basic t-shirts. But yes she was a kid who always wanted to do something different from other kids. Since childhood she was a sporty person and loved to play all outdoor activities. Her biggest challenge was wearing a bikini in front of so many people. But when she got a Bronze medal in Asian Championship 2018 her parents and in-laws understood her sportsmanship enthusiasm and they supported her and her passion as a bikini competitor.

Dr Manjiri successfully made her country and family proud of her achievements. She faced one more challenge during her World Championship Thailand which was the biggest challenge. Before 8 days of Championship she lost her dear mother due to massive cardiac arrest. She was completely lost and not even able to think about competition but her elder sister pushed her to participate and she went to Thailand. Sad ,crying ,swollen body, puffy eyes but her husband supported her all the time and took care of her body. And she was placed in top 5 among all girls from 27 countries.

Here she shares her basic workout regime:

I workout 6 days a week. EverydayI target different part of the body with 1/2 hour cardio daily like:

  • Glutes
  • Shoulders
  • Back
  • Glutes
  • Shoulders
  • Triceps and biceps

Here she shares her basic diet:

  • 5 meals in a day and each meal includes portion of protein, carbohydrates, veggies and fats.
  • Supplements like fish oil and multivitamins.

With regards to time management to stay fit Dr Manjiri says, "Being a doctor, a wife and a mom its difficult to manage all the things sometimes, but as we say, where there is a will, there isa way. So, sometimes, actually,  I have to cook 3 different food items for three of us. But I love my family and I have passion at the same time. I learned the skills to manage my time and l always make sure I should have all meals on time. Sometimes I keep my diet flexible especially when I'm traveling but I always focus on eating healthy. I also believe in good spiritual health so I meditate daily to keep my mind stable, healthy and positive."

In her message to the people who want to transform, Dr Manjiri says,"Transformation isn't sweet and bright, its dark and murky, painful pushing. It's not about being perfect. It's about effort. And when you implement that effort into your life, every single day, that's where transformation happens. That's how change occurs. Keep going and remember why you started."
