Arrival of Asian Hockey Champions: India

After their stupendous performance in Oman Indian Hockey team along with head coach Harendra Singh arrived at IGI airport. Team is all set to train for upcoming Hockey World Cup, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha.

Bodyandstrength.com met Indian Hockey team on its arrival at IGI airport on October 29, 2018 (1400 hrs), after their stupendous performance in Muscat, Oman; and engaged in a short conversation with our players. Their victory is being seen as a precursor to Hockey World Cup which is going to be held soon in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

The team along with head coach Harendra Singh seemed quite confident and are all set to start training again as their is hardly any time left to rest. Ace Indian Hockey players like Harmanpreet Singh, Dilpreet Singh, Jarmanpreet Singh, Surendra Kumar and many more (28 in numbers) under captaincy of Manpreet Singh Pawar have taken the in-field test of the game impressively and have raised the bar yet again as India remained the only undefeated team in the 5th Hero Men's Asian Cup Championship this year.

It was a rare moment when India and Pakistan both lifted the Asian Cup Champions Trophy in Muscat. The joint winners were declared by virtue of forfeiture of the final due to persistent rain, while Malaysia finished with Bronze (3rd place) after taking over Japan (3-2). All the matches were held between October 18 - 28, 2018; a field tournament for the six best Asian national teams - Oman, Pakistan, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and of course, India.

Bodyandstrength.com wishes Indian Hockey Team all the very best for the coming up World Cup Championship on behalf of the nation!
